The US defense super cycle thesis while not born out of the Iran issue (but rather it of the spending desires of the US government) could not have been implemented at a better moment. Likewise those holding oil. It is estimated that an effective blockage of Hormuz for a week could, on the outside chance cause oil to spike as high as $150. UCO which is a 2x ETF, would probably move at twice the spike from a % perspective. I've been vocal on my trade there.

The negotiations on Thursday now resemble more of a last minute ultimatum than anything else. The flight cancellations reported by Nazo and by KLM on Bloomberg in hindsight are super clear.

Element of surprise just like i said
07:58:50 AM - 2/28/2026
A joint attack on Iran by Israel and the United States on Saturday morning had an "element of surprise," according to Fox News Chief National Security Correspondent Jennifer Griffin. The attack was carried out just after 9 a.m. local time in daylight. Griffin said she believes U.S. and Israeli officials wanted Iran to see the strikes and what was being targeted. She said she expects more military activity over the next few hours.

(and for anybody showing up just reading the last chunk there, I don't mean us investor/traders, I mean society as a whole, building AI, having no idea what will happen and creating potentially real dangers).
03:49:58 AM - 2/28/2026
Ok, enough of that outta me. But just to end off. we're like a bunch of smart kids without any wisdom whatsoever, building things we have no idea about. We've got this childish need to be first, to get there first, to gather the most....money....I mean, if I were an alien race looking at this, wow we are so not an evolved species. Yet. :)
03:46:55 AM - 2/28/2026
Or, downside, some kind of major population-reduction event occurs, putting us all back to like, year 1850 and we start all over again.
03:46:13 AM - 2/28/2026
With any luck, we'll build AI so good that it tells us what comes next in such a way that it'll be a good thing.
03:45:27 AM - 2/28/2026
Friday Night Ramblings.
03:45:13 AM - 2/28/2026
This is where I lose any sense of direction. Maybe we'll colonize the moon and off to mars, so that'll keep humans and robots super busy for a long time to come.
03:44:32 AM - 2/28/2026
So now, the next question I can't figure out is: what happens then. What's the purpose to become. The only way we can keep this 8-9 billion human population busy is to have something to work towards. Granted, we're going to be back to 7 billion fairly soon, so that'll help a bit. Less humans is probably going to be a good thing as tech begins to do people's jobs for them. But anyway
03:42:50 AM - 2/28/2026
so, what happens when 19.8% of that 20% of laid off people can't pay bills. Everything collapses. Housing, consumer/retail, nobody pays for using ChatGPT anymore, everyone cancels their subscriptions, "everyone" meaning, just a lot of people. Inflation decreaes, yay, just in time for our fiat curerncy to turn into some kind of crypto/tokenized gold type thing. So now we're being squeezed and controlled by government, while not having jobs. UBI and UBHI are seen as the next step. But then you have millionos of humans with no purpose.
03:40:54 AM - 2/28/2026
One such is that the changes will come WAY faster than any form of population adaptation and reeducation will occur.
03:40:26 AM - 2/28/2026
For example: AI causes massive job loss. Let's say, 20%. The old argument that oh...people will just go back to school and learn new things. maybe they'll become tradespeople. Ok, so that's 20,000,000 new plumbers? I think it's fair to jump to certain conslucions here.
03:39:19 AM - 2/28/2026
Like, I'm not qualified myself to see past a few steps ahead. But I'd love to hear someone that does, talk about what will happen.
03:38:54 AM - 2/28/2026
I feel like this topic keeps running into what I guess I would classify as "typical human inability to see past their own noses".
03:36:17 AM - 2/28/2026
Nope he'll produce tickers in both exchanges. The focus on Candaa is that Canada is a very big part of the mining world is why. It's just that a lot of operations are headquartered in Candaa too, even if they mine in the US and primarily operate there. I thikn that's the reasoning.
